Advantages and precautions of inflatable tent

The inflatable tent is a type of tent designed with a frame based on structural mechanics principles. It uses the pressure characteristics of gas to inflate the airbags, forming a rigid structure that supports the tent's framework through organic combinations. This type of tent is known for its moisture-proof, waterproof, wind-resistant, dustproof, and sun-protective properties, making it ideal for emergency rescue, short-term outdoor training, and combat scenarios.

1. Main parameters of conventional inflatable tent:

① Fabric material: Oxford cloth, PVC coated cloth

② Material of inflatable column: PVC Coated polyester interwoven cloth

③ Adaptation temperature: -30 +70

④ Frame wind resistance: 6-8

⑤ Static water pressure is greater than or equal to 16kPa

⑥ Anti-surface water: 160-500mm

⑦ Inflation time: 2-20min

2. The difference between inflatable tent and ordinary metal frame tent

(1) Weight

Metal frame tents, which use steel pipes as the framework, are heavy and require more complex transportation and setup. This is especially true for larger steel structure tents, where the increased size necessitates thicker steel pipes to support the additional weight. In contrast, inflatable tents, with their flexible and foldable frames, are lighter and easier to transport compared to traditional metal frame tents.

(2) Volume

Tents with metal frame structures have separate poles and canopies, and the steel pipe lengths are fixed, making them unsuitable for free packing. They must be transported using vehicles that can accommodate the length of the steel pipes. In contrast, inflatable tents, being soft, have an integrated canopy and frame. The air cylinders can be easily deflated and folded, allowing the tent to be folded freely after use. This results in a very small footprint, making it easy to fit into ordinary vehicles for convenient transportation.

(3) Setting up and withdrawing

Metal frame tents need many people to set up, and the erection time is long. The larger the tent, the more people are needed, and the longer it takes. Inflatable tents only need a few people to unfold, inflate, or deflate to complete the construction and disassembly.

3. Precautions for use

(1) During the installation and use of the tent, it should be avoided from friction with the ground and away from sharp objects.

(2) When installed on muddy or sandy ground, drainage ditches can be dug around the tent to ensure that the ground inside the tent is dry.

(3) If you need to cook in the tent, be sure to keep the flame away from the tent or isolate the flame with a fireproof board. Do not leave the tent when cooking, and make a plan for fire extinguishing, and installan exhaust fan to remove smoke and oil.

(4) Keep an eye on the local weather conditions. In case of severe convective weather or wind force above 8, please withdraw the tent in advance to avoid unnecessary losses.

(5) The tent must be kept dry before entering the warehouse. Do not put the dry tarp directly into the warehouse to prevent mildew. According to the local humidity and climate conditions, the tarp should be regularly dried to avoid the growth of bacteria and damage to the rainproof coating of the relief tent.
